The Median Picnic
Throughout history, there are very few crucial turning points in the chronicle of mankind.
This is not one of them.
The median picnic was started by me (Doug Manley), on a whim. I mean, look at all of those medians on the roads! They're there, and no one uses them. Then, I put this idea together with that of another common idea: people picnic on grass. Nuclear fusion at the most primal level led to the creation of the Median Picnic, a picnic on a grassy median.
It is critically important that the median be grassy (or at least weedy). Without the superpowers that grass brings to a Median Picnic, the fabric of the universe would collapse.
But most likely it wouldn't.

This picnic tops the best median picnic ever, making it the best median picnic ever. We had around thirty people there, including a reporter from the News Journal. Anyway, it's not a Doug Event without trouble from the cops!
